Chinese technology giant Xiaomi will soon roll-out the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Xiaomi Mi4 and Mi Note.

The OS update will be distributed over the next few weeks, according to GizmoChina. Xiaomi’s MIUI operations manager posted news of the OTA update on social networking network platform, Weibo, to confirm the report.

Xiaomi is expected to rollout a refreshed version of the MIUI 7 custom overlay for the Xiaomi Mi4 and Mi 4i with Android M. The OS will also include several new themes and will optimize performance. Mi4 will have 16 GB of storage space and will be priced lower than previous versions.

The update will have features like an auto do not disturb that performs bets with Xiaomi’s Mi Band fitness tracker, according to PC-Tablet. Moreover, the update will also include the unique data saver module that helps a user minimize data usage over several media applications.

Specifications of the much-awaited Mi Pad 2 were recently leaked online. It revealed that users will be allowed to switch between Windows 10 and Android. What came as a surprise, however, is that the Mi Pad 2 sports a bigger display, having a size of either 9.7 inches or 10.1 inches with a display resolution of 2560 x 1440.

Mi Pad will use the Intel 14 nm processor that generates less heat and will be supported by 3 GB of RAM. A 13 MP front camera is also expected in the device. The grapevine even suggests the Mi Pad 2 will arrive with a 4 GB variant, as well.

It’s also expected the Redmi Note 3 will be released following the launch of acclaimed Redmi Note 2. A Micro SIM Slot will be incorporated in the Redmi Note 3 that will be similar to the Mini SIM slot in Note 2. This means users will have to use converters to work with the phone.
