The Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus are expected to be unveiled at around 3am EST Wednesday morning. The unveiling will be held simultaneously in New York, Barcelona and New Delhi. We’re sorry to possibly ruin the surprise, but an online retailer has let the cat out of the bag by posting just about everything you might want to know about the two handsets.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will feature a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.2-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution screen. MIUI 7 is pre-installed.

The pixel density works out to 515ppi, and the phablet is driven by the Snapdragon 820 SoC with an quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage. The camera combo from back to front is 16MP/8MP, and there is single SIM capabilities. The Mi 5 Plus supports 4G LTE, and MIUI 7 is pre-installed.

Although there is less than three hours until the official unveiling of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus, we suggest taking this info with a grain of salt. If you can hold on for just a few more hours, you can get all of the information as soon as it is announced. Or, you can get to sleep and find out first thing in the morning when you check out PhoneArena as your first read of the day.
